Who would benefit from attending this event?
Little artists, crafters and fans of the upcoming children's book Kiley's Purple Hat in the DC Metro Area. If you missed the chance to sign up for our ArtJamz Paint Party, you can now join author Jaxon Barnes for a fun afternoon of hat making and cupcakes. Come create art with us!

Is there a fee or any other requirements to attend the event?
It's free to RSVP. Just bring your buddling artist and we will handle the rest.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Please use the "Town Square Garage" (Garage 61). The entrance is on Ellsworth Avenue & Roeder Road. FREE parking on weekends and the address is 801 Ellsworth Dr, Silver Spring, MD 20910.

There is also plenty of parking on the street and Veterans Plaza is a few blocks away from the Silver Spring Metro Station at 8400-01 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD 20910.

What can/can't I bring to the event?
Abrakadoodle supplies all the materials your artist needs to create an original artwork and they do it with Fun and Flair. In addition to the craft activity, attendees will receive cupcakes and a FREE goodie bag! There will also be a chance to win some great raffle prizes.

Will there be an opportunity to purchase a copy of the book?
Yes! You'll have the exclusive opportunity to buy the book before it's released! Following a reading of the book, there will be copies available for sale to be personalized by author Jaxon Barnes.

Successfully funded on Kickstarter, Kiley's Purple Hat is a beautiful handcrafted book little artists will love as they discover colors, textures and making something with their own hands. Also, for teachers and parents the Lexile measure / reading level for Kiley’s Purple Hat is AD 690L / Grade level 3. It's the perfect bedtime story to tuck your littles one in with every night. The book will be released on December 8, 2014 and is currently available for pre-order in print and iBook. Kindle coming soon.
